Knowledge Production and Cultures of Resistance: Historical Materialism and Critical Research

Collectif La Grande transition | May 29, 2021

This panel investigates new approaches to social and political processes of knowledge production and the formation of cultures of resistance. The Ethiopian student movement of the 1970s and radical Caribbean intellectuals of the colonial and postcolonial period figure as key sites of analysis. The panel intends to develop historical materialist methods in relation to these sites of knowledge production and political-cultural resistance to capitalism and colonialism.
